This is a fictitious story about desire, art, and madness, inspired by the life of Polish artist Zofia Stryjenska.
A young Polish artist, determined to defy the oppressive norms of her time, masquerades as a boy to attend art school and pursue her passion for painting. As she rises to fame, she makes a dangerous pact to secure her success, descending into a life of fame, love affairs, madness, and poverty. Torn between her quest for artistic greatness and the price of her desires, she must confront the devastating consequences of selling her soul for her dreams—while remaining fiercely true to her identity
